We would like to invite you to participate in the 8th Annual Wing Cook-Off at The Ottoville Park Carnival, Labor Day Weekend. This year we hope to bring in more competition with a new location! Also, we will be presenting the awards on our big stage before our ever-growing lip sync contest. This is your opportunity to be recognized for your fabulous wings. Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice trophies will go to the top three participants. A trophy will also be awarded to the participant voted Best Sauce. You could earn the bragging rights to say you were chosen by hundreds of people as the Best Wings in the area!
In addition to competing for these prestigious titles, you will also have the satisfaction of knowing you are supporting a wonderful cause with your participation. All proceeds from the Ottoville Park Carnival go to support the Ottoville Park and summer youth programs.
The Wing Cook-Off will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 1. Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice awards will be presented at 7 p.m. The entry fee is $25. Participants are also required to obtain their own food license from the Putnam County Health Department. All proceeds from the wing sales are kept by the participants.
All entrants in the Wing Cook-Off are also invited to be in our parade Sunday, September 2, at 1 p.m. For more information on joining the parade, please call Tina Weber (419-453-3087).
Other activities taking place during the 2-day event include a free concert Friday from Brother Believe Me and Sunday from Polly Mae, a wiffle ball tournament, lip sync contest, kid’s wiffle ball home run derby, antique tractor square dancing, rides and much more.
Included is a registration form for the Wing Cook-Off. Please fill out and return along with your $25 entry fee to Lois Laudick by August 16, 2012.
